Common questions
What counts as assistive technology?
Anything from a walking stick to a powered wheelchair, plus shower stools, transfer equipment, pressure care and communication devices.
Do I have to buy before I try?
No. Trials are part of the assessment, and running them in your own home is the point.
Do you assess mobility scooters?
Yes, including the safety and route considerations that come with using one in your own area.
Who writes the funding request?
We do. The assessment and the supporting evidence come together.
